IDESS Maritime Centre Inc. wss founded in Norway in 1989 by our chairman, Mr. Yngvar Ronning Olsen. The first IDESS training centre to be established in the Philippines was opened in the Manila in 1991. By 1993 it was apparent that a new and larger location, free from the congestion of the city was required. Subic Bay was considered to be the perfect location for future development. IDESS Maritime Cetre(Subic) Inc. was opened on 14th of October 1995 in the Subic Bay Freeport Zone. IDESS has become a world renowned brand name associated with high standards of quality and integrity in competence based training and assessment.
